Good Company

Much ado has been made about the third-ten win season in a row but even more impressive is the company Oklahoma State joins over a longer time period.

Oklahoma State is one of just nine programs in the country to win 10 games at least six times since 2010. The others? Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Stanford, Clemson, Wisconsin, Boise State and Florida State. Damn good company. [Heartland College Sports]

History may say one (or two counting Boise) of these don’t belong but the win/loss column puts Oklahoma State in elite company.

Divine Placement

Ramon Richards, in a roundabout way, explained the secret to his often fortuitous placement on the football field.

And on the next play, Hokies quarterback Josh Jackson fumbled while trying to pull the ball from Peoples’ midsection on an option read. Ramon Richards recovered for the Cowboys, giving the defense a needed stop.

“All I do is play my game and do what I can do,” Richards said. “God puts me in positions and it’s up to me to make the best of the opportunities.” [NewsOK]

There you have it folks, divine placement. And boy was he in the right place a lot of times. Let’s cross our fingers that Orange Power Studios will make a cut-up of all Ramon’s picks/fumble recoveries!
