Scores

Baseball: Pokes win their season opener against Mizzou 5-3
Softball: Cowgirls walked off the Hokies, 10-9

Three Thoughts

All the details on today’s game against TCU at 1pm – Marshall Scott put it best, the Cowboys look like an NCAA Tournament team but “there’s still work to do”. The Pokes have to get to nine league wins. Seeing TCU’s best player return for the game isn’t helpful.

Berry Tramel goes position-by-position down the roster for Cowboy Football – the Pokes addressed losses to the portal but when you look at it, it’s hard to think they got better this offseason (NewsOK)

• Seth Duckworth has a great point and he uses Bedlam as the barometer – Cowboy Wrestling has gotten better and better this season.

Oklahoma State is not where it should be as a program right now. Historically, it’s the top program in the sport and fans should expect that. But the marked improvement we’ve seen this season is undeniable. Just a few months ago this dual came down to the final match. Here, the Cowboys completely blew the Sooners out of the gym.

Two Quotes/ Tweets

• Cowboy Track set an NCAA record for distance medley yesterday:

• According to the standings, the Pokes shoud win today.

One Question

• Who ends up having a more exciting season – Cowboy Basketball or Cowboy Baseball?
