OSU Bullets

With Tylan Wallace coming back, all eyes shift to the Cowboys’ other star Chuba Hubbard. This bit from Jenni Carlson and another bit of social media are worth checking out.

Chuba Hubbard walked past Amen Ogbongbemiga in the hallway outside the Oklahoma State locker room.

“Go to the first bus,” Hubbard said.

The Cowboy running back wanted to be with his buddy and roommate on the ride from NRG Stadium to the team hotel. The Canadians had much to discuss after the Texas Bowl. [NewsOK]

One small interaction overheard by a media member is still a data point painting a picture of a conflicted individual.

Also – I have no idea what this tweet from Ogbongbemiga is about yesterday after the Wallace announcement.

• All sorts of reports (none from official sources) that Kasey Dunn is staying in Stillwater. I like this one mentioning a five-year deal:

• A couple of minor notes on recruiting for this class here:

…DeSoto (Texas) High School cornerback Jabbar Muhammad remains committed to the Cowboys, even though he didn’t hold a signing ceremony in December. His official announcement will come in February, in a ceremony with the rest of his college-bound teammates, but he’s locked in with OSU.

And now, OSU coaches hit January with only four spots to fill and a lot less work to do. [NewsOK]

There you have it – Muhammad is solid and four spots remain in the class. I enjoyed this piece looking at three portal running backs OSU could be targeting.

• Solid Golfweek piece looking at how Matthew Wolff is dealing with great expectations

• Kyle Cox is onto something here – the second thought we should all have after just being excited that Tylan Wallace is coming back.

I was completely willing to accept the possibility that I am way too high on Braydon Johnson — until I remembered the first quarter of OSU’s bowl game. Now that I know that it’s a possibility, I am downright giddy about seeing Tylan and Braydon Johnson line up on either side of the field in 2020. [PFB]

2 + 8 = lots of sixes. Having two big-play threats out wide at a time is a luxury few have. And don’t forget the big games Dillon Stoner put up with Wallace out as well.

Non-OSU Bullets

• I like this piece on going “deeper, not wider”
• Love Tim Keller’s (faith-based) thoughts on marriage in “You Never Marry the Right Person”
• Fascinated by what the Dallas Cowboys do this offseason
This Thunder team is quietly super impressive.
