OSU Bullets

• I didn’t even realize how OSU had the room for Bishop McGuiness running back Dominic Richardson – it was expensive but I’m glad it’s going to good use.

Ultimately, OSU didn’t have a scholarship open until the recent retirement of offensive lineman Dylan Galloway. It wasn’t long until Dominic and OSU made everything work. [NewsOK]

• Pokes may have lost a four-star offensive tackle last week but they added a four-star defensive tackle yesterday (!!)

Boone’s interview with Aden Kelley earlier this COVID year was great, had me hoping (and hopeful that) he’d commit based on his remarks, here’s one from Marshall (available if you’re PFB+)

• This quote from former Texas running back Johnathan Gray on playing AAU ball with Marcus Smart wasn’t surprising at all – hint: Smart was the “Eddie’s practice in football pads-type” in high school.

“(In practice) we would go at it, me and Marcus (Smart). We would almost, it wasn’t like a fist fight, but we’d almost be body slamming each other. • Can’t get over this realignment tweet Porter had yesterday in the Bullets – if there’s any way Mizzou could get kicked out of the SEC and into the Big Ten, I would love for OSU to have their spot.

2025 will be here before we know it!

The Big 12 signed television contracts with ESPN and Fox in 2012, with both going through the 2025 season. It’s hard to imagine what the broadcast landscape will look like in 2025. [NewsOK]

• ICYMI – the Friday afternoon news dump saw the Big 12 announce the media selected OSU over Texas, Iowa State for the second spot in the pre-season Big 12 rankings

• Saw this floating around – I’m not overly hopeful but would be great for college football!

• Finished this classic read by Wendell Berry last night – not everyone’s cup of tea but a really thoughtful piece of fiction
• I’m all for safety but this Economist piece on how keeping kids from school does more damage than help was thought-provoking
• I love this Google Chrome extension called “OneTab” – the ability to put all my tabs away and save them for later is incredible
