OSU Bullets

These are top-shelf lines on March Madness and what it’s meant in Oklahoma.

What’s the weather like in March? What’s there to do in March? How do we know? We’ve been watching Buddy Hield and John Lucas, Hollis Price and Big Country, thrill us March after March.

Spring break and basketball have filled up our Marches lo these many years, and now we’re asked to limit travel, which would be fine if there was basketball to watch. But now there’s no basketball and no sports of any kind.

March Madness has been a staple. A gathering place. Even non-basketball fans would fill out a bracket and cheer on Texas Southern to upset North Carolina, or Lafayette to stun Villanova, or Weber State to topple Arizona.

It rarely happened, but when it did, the underdogs were American Royalty for a day, and a nation cheered the belief that all things were possible. March was the month of hope. [NewsOK $$$]
