• Here’s an exciting comment from the TulsaWorld’s Bill Haisten – monuments for two of the best Pokes appear imminent:

From those responses, there is the informed speculation that within the next 20 months or so, there will be (Barry) Sanders and (T. Boone) Pickens monuments. It makes sense that both statues would be positioned immediately beyond the west end of the stadium. [TulsaWorld]

• Marshall had a great piece on the OSU seniors over the weekend – John Helsley wrote a good piece on the seniors too

• This may be the greatest “what-if” about this senior class of basketball players.

(Cam McGriff’s) not one of the all-time greats, but man I wish he’d been allowed to be the fourth- or fifth-best guy on a Big 12 title-winning and No. 2 seed OSU team. He’s always been forced into uncomfortable spots because OSU didn’t have the talent in front of him it needed, but he’s become such a solid, capable college basketball player. [PFB]

Any sort of middle-of-the-pack finish in the Big 12 this year was contingent upon Cam or Lindy Waters ascending into an alpha dog role – one neither of them is ideally fit for. But that’s not to say McGriff isn’t more than capable of looking the part on any given night.

• Mason Rudolph is recovering nicely from his injury-ridden season

Mason Rudolph recently resumed throwing footballs coming off surgery for a fractured AC joint. He’s expected to be a full go for offseason work, and could get significant reps as Ben Roethlisberger recovers from elbow surgery.
