Three Thoughts

Previewing today’s Cowboy Football game – plus TV details and more (PFB)

• If you had to pick an offense to face OSU, you’d take one more run-heavy than dominant through the air. Facing a stout Kansas rushing attack may be a good pairing for the Pokes. [TulsaWorld]

• Here’s 100 yards OSU will need to beat Kansas today.

As Cowboy possessions stalled at the K-State 25-yard line, the K-State 17, the K-State 36, the K-State 14 and the K-State 8, Hale booted field goals of 43, 34, 53, 31 and 25 yards.

A field goal in football is only a tiny bit better than a par in golf.

Two Quotes

Happy Terry Miller Day in Stillwater.

Pretty solid Walt Garrison story here from Boone Pickens’ right-hand man Jay Rosser:

A few years back, Garrison had joined Pickens for a Dallas Cowboys game in his suite on the Owner’s Club Level at JerryWorld. Rosser happened to be standing next to Garrison when Ezekiel Elliott scored a touchdown and “began one of his fancy TD celebration dances,” Rosser said.

“Did you ever do that?” Rosser asked Garrison.

“Don’t know,” Garrison said. “Don’t think I ever scored standing up.”

One Question

• Who do you have as the fourth and fifth best running backs in OSU history? Assuming one to three are Barry, Thurman and Terry Miller.

Non-OSU Bullets

• Can Mike McCarthy fix the Dallas offense?
• Inside Oregon and Washington’s jump to the Big Ten – Kansas was on a shortlist for the Big Ten

Made for TV stuff ropes me in (not enough to purchase) but this one looks like a blast:
