Good morning and happy Sunday. Hope you’re having a better weekend than Missouri State!
OSU Bullets
• My favorite thing about OKC Dave’s annual survey is perusing the results. My second favorite thing about OKC Dave’s annual survey is Berry Tramel’s annual wrap-up column. This year he wrote about declining fan support for Mike Gundy.
• More details on OSU’s COVID-19-triggered budget cuts earlier this week from The Oklahoman’s Scott Wright, who reports that nine OSU football assistant coaches were unaffected by the cuts. (The remaining 232 members in OSU’s athletic department were either terminated, furloughed or had their salaries reduced.)
• Reggie Bush showed OSU mad love on FOX’s pregame and halftime shows Saturday. Predicted OSU to the College Football Playoff!
• Highly-touted in-state star Gentry Williams, a Booker T. Washington standout, sustained a torn ACL and is done for the season. Huge bummer for him. He’s a top-15 player nationally and the No. 1 player in the state.
• Good check-in here from Cody Nagel of GoPokes.com on OSU commit Donovan Stephens. Super underrated in-state talent.
Non-OSU Bullets
• First full NFL Sunday of the season is here. Pretty great fantasy football preview here from CBS (I’m a company man!)
• This is the LeBron James content I’m here for: LeBron James is a pirouetting locomotive.
• The story of Trevor Lawrence’s life-changing summer.
• Haunting article from the New York Times here. I’ve never seen the american west in such deep distress.
• 2020!
