LIVE BLOG: Oklahoma State Defeats Tulsa 45-10
Live updates as the Cowboys visit the Golden Hurricane.
FINAL: Oklahoma State 45, Tulsa 10
Tulsa was a little too effective at slowing down Ollie Gordon and OSU’s run game, but Alan Bowman took advantage. The veteran QB bounced back after an inefficient outing against Arkansas with a career performance. The Cowboys were 28-0 at halftime and never looked back. They’re back home next week to host Utah in their Big 12 opener.
Drive Recap (OSU 45, TU 10)
Tulsa’s fourth quarterback Stephen Kittleman leads the Golden Hurricane on a four-play, 64-yard touchdown drive, taking it into the end zone himself.
Drive Recap (OSU 45, TU 3)
The Golden Hurricane avoids the shutout with a 43-yard field goal.
Also, the broadcast crew has called this a rivalry about 600 times.
Drive Recap (OSU 45, TU 0)
Rangel leads the Cowboys on a 12-play, 56-yard touchdown drive, paying it off with a pitch to Sesi Vailahi.
Drive Recap (OSU 38, TU 0)
The Cowboys settle for a field goal for the first time. After a three-and-out from Tulsa we get our first look at Garret Rangel.

Drive Recap (OSU 35, TU 0)
Not the best drive for the Cowboys. Gordon finally picked up a nice run but came up gimpy and it was called back for holding. Then Bowman throws a pick on the next play. Might be time to sit these guys down and get ready for Utah.
Drive Recap (OSU 35, TU 0)
Even a roughing-the-passer penalty couldn’t slow him down. Bowman ties a career high with five TDs. Bowman’s up to nearly 400 yards and has completed 79% of his attempts.
Oklahoma State had four different players catch a touchdown in the first half vs. Tulsa (Presley, Stribling, Shettron, Ford).
The last time the Cowboys did that against an FBS opponent was Oct. 8, 2011, in a 70-28 win vs. Kansas (Cooper, Blackmon, Anyiam, Anderson).#GoPokes

Drive Recap (OSU 28, TU 0)
The Cowboys get denied on the ground again. OSU lined up on fourth-and-1 at the Tulsa 42 and Ollie Gordon is stopped behind the line of scrimmage. In 16 attempts, Gordon has been stopped at the line or lost yardage four times. Only two of his rush attempts went for at least five yards.
Drive Recap (OSU 28, TU 0)
The Golden Hurricane’s opening drive of the second half runs out of steam.
HALFTIME: Oklahoma State 28, Tulsa 0
Alan Bowman is back on the upswing after an inconsistent performance against Arkansas and he’s got the Cowboys up big at halftime. Bowman is 18-for-22 for 274 yards and four touchdowns to know interceptions. If he were to sit the second half out, he’d finish this game with the best passer rating of his career (246.4).
Drive Recap (OSU 28, TU 0)
Make it four TDs to four different receivers for Alan Bowman. Might we see some Zane Flores in the second half?

Drive Recap (OSU 21, TU 0)
Francis and the Golden Hurricane offense made some more headway but saw their drive derailed due to a costly penalty on fourth down. Turnover on downs.
Drive Recap (OSU 21, TU 0)
This thing is officially opening up. Bowman finds Talyn Shettron for a 78-yard touchdown. No. 7 is 15-of-18 for 198 yards and three scores. Quite the bounce back for Bowman after a wonky game against Arkansas.
Drive Recap (OSU 14, TU 0)
Another Tulsa’s drive stalls.
Drive Recap (OSU 14, TU 0)
Welp, Bowman found his long ball. He found Rashod Owens for 25 yards down the field and then found De’Zhaun Stribling down the sideline for 34 but it was called back for a holding call. Either way, it seemed to break the seal. He paid off the drive with TD to Stribling. Bowman seems to have hit a groove at 13-for-16 for 109 yards and two scores.
Drive Recap (OSU 7, TU 0)
The two teams trade three-and-outs. Tulsa QB Kirk Francis has yet to complete a pass. This is getting close to an ugly offense contest.
Drive Recap (OSU 7, TU 0)
OSU’s own drive stalls with Ollie Gordon’s being stuffed on a third-and-5 attempt. Three-and-out for the Cowboys.
Drive Recap (OSU 7, TU 0)
The Golden Hurricane had some success on the ground in its opening drive, averaging over eight yards per carry, but they stalled in OSU territory and the possession ended with a missed 44-yard field goal attempt.
Drive Recap (OSU 7, TU 0)
The Cowboys got the ball to the hometown kid early. Brennan Presley caught all four of his targets for 19 yards and an opening-drive TD. He also picked up 22 yards rushing.
