Uniforms
Ranking the football uniforms: No. 14
The all-black with crazy Pete on the helmet is getting us close to the top 10.
Uniform No. 14:Â Black-Black-Black (with Pete helmet)
Worn:Â Home against TCU
Result:Â Win, 36-14
Between the gray-black-gray look against Kansas State in 2011 and this one we’re smack in the middle of the “great unis but the helmets ruined them” portion of the program.
I’m definitely down with the black tops and pants but not at the expense of trading the OSU logo helmet[1. Should be noted that my No. 1 uniform is a combination that has the regular black helmet.] for a Pete head that has eyes like Ian Poulter (see below).
Also, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to mention his name yet or not but I felt like the all blacks made Wes Lunt look seven feet tall. I actually think these make everybody on the team look bigger than they actually are which seems somewhat useful when competing in a sport that generally rewards strength and mass.
I have the other two all-blacks combos ranked higher but this one definitely doesn’t deserve a top 10 nod.
