In case you enjoyed Homecoming a little too much or just want to relive what was a fabulous Stillwater weekend, we put together a little guide for you regarding what you missed in OSU’s 38-35 victory over the University of Texas.

A quick site note: We have been running this site for roughly 2,900 days. Yesterday was just the 14th in which we’ve eclipsed 100K pageviews in a single day. The unofficial rankings based on a quick Google Analytics scan.

  1. Day after Bedlam 2015
  2. Brad Underwood leaves in 2017
  3. Homecoming 2015 car wreck (unfortunately)
  4. Mike Gundy decides to stay at OSU over Tennessee in 2017
  5. SI scandal breaks in 2013
  6. Central Michigan game in 2016
  7. Day after Texas game in 2018

Pretty crazy. The internet apparently loves Tom Herman controversy and Mike Gundy talking about rat’s asses.

• Speaking of, here’s the Gundy rant (which a lot of people apparently loved?). I thought it was hilarious but I found more ironic than anything that the person in that room who makes the most money (by far) and also the one who has the most Twitter followers is the one railing on how social media is for the unemployed. Ok.

• Here are all the highlights from Saturday’s game.

• The social media reaction to Saturday’s game — which is normally quite good — was off the charts following the Gundy-Herman kerfuffle.

• My 10 thoughts on OSU’s win.

Gundy has his warts. Everyone does. His are just more publicly visible. But on a picturesque night in a place that bears so many of his fingerprints, OSU believed it could and would beat Texas because Gundy believed in them. And then he asked if you were delighted by that reality deep in the evening as a full moon hovered and Tom Herman melted into a pool of profanity and rage. It was quite a night for a coach who hasn’t had many of them in Stillwater over the past few years. It was quite a night for a program that desperately needed it. [PFB]

• An explanation of what went down in the Gundy-Herman insanity at the end of the game including a full video of the incident.

• About two minutes after that, this happened …

• Gundy credited the Homecoming crowd in Stillwater for OSU’s energy and at least part of their victory.

• His locker room speech was also fantastic, and I enjoyed this from a former player.

• I took some Qs from you guys after the game. It was short and sweet (but fun!)

Also, I got memed (or something).

• Jackson’s photos from Saturday were incredible.

• Marshall Scott breaks down the game: 10 best stats | Grades for the game

• No B12 team has had a better record against the Horns since 2010.

• Cox on Tylan was fantastic, per the usual.

At his current clip, Wallace would finish (with an assumed bowl appearance) at 1,537 yards and 10 touchdowns. That would nudge James Washington out of the top 3 in the highest receiving total seasons in school history. That’s incredible when you think about how this team and offense have struggled at times along with some inconsistent QB play. [PFB]

• Boone on Gundy was !!!!

Lining up in a jumbo stack and saying, ‘my 11 are better than your 11′ to get the necessary yardage for a first down would be pretty ballsy. Lining up in a 1988 throwback formation and tossing a TD to your tight end is the equivalent of waving your mullet in the opposing coaches face. [PFB]
