A look back at the weekend that was in Stillwater.

In case you completely bailed on any OSU coverage following whatever it is that we watched on Saturday in Stillwater missed a few posts from us over the weekend, we have you covered with a guide to all the good stuff right here.

Enjoy (or hate read it). Either way, we appreciate your support and that this www is the one you’ve chosen to spend your time at. Remember, No. 9 is this season and we (collectively) are Landon Wolf.

• Marshall Scott on Corndog’s performance was good. I agree with him. Corndog was fine on Saturday. The line stunk. Again, that doesn’t mean I’m pro-Corn. Kyle B. has generously allowed me to be secretary of the SSFC. I just thought the blame wasn’t really at Corn’s feet on Saturday. He actually made some big boy tosses (especially late).

Cornelius’ first pass was a touchdown Saturday, and his last pass was a touchdown. When he wasn’t wiping turf beads off his face after being sacked seven times and hurried five other times, Cornelius was good Saturday, but he didn’t have the most help.

• My final thought in the 10 Thoughts on Saturday was on how this is going to go the rest of the way.

Bad seasons happen of course, and this one might turn out better than it feels like it’s going to. BUT when I think about 2014, I often think about how things could have gone differently if Gundy hasn’t been forced to play Mason Rudolph at the end of the year. The next six games are going to be intriguing in an unfamiliar way because now you find yourself in a situation where November won’t matter as much as prepping for 2019 and beyond.

• The grades were very bad.

I’ve already mentioned the seven times Cornelius was sacked despite Iowa State having only six in its previous four games combined. To the people who will say that’s just as much Cornelius’ fault than it is the O-Line’s, I give you this: Justice Hill averaged 2.8 yards a carry.

• The best photos from Saturday’s game.

• OSU has probably been ranked for the final time in 2018.

• Scott broke his 10 stats to know piece into good and bad. There was a lot of bad.

• An Iowa State/Oklahoma State recruit watched yesterday’s game and … chose Oklahoma State?

• I jotted down some notes from Mike Gundy’s presser on Saturday night.

• The social media reaction from Saturday is ?, although Justin Southwell did produce this gem.

• Mike Yurcich, Jim Knowles and Taylor Cornelius spoke after the game.
