Three Thoughts
• OSU took on OU in Stillwater tonight – let’s not bury the lede: the Cowgirls won it 6-4. Incredible win – the first over the Sooners since Blackmon and Weeden won the title.
• Pokes make a pretty elite final four transfer destinations on an SEC guard – this is the kind of guy you can run an offense through
• There were some great quotes in here on freshman Cowboy guard Donovan Williams – on the process to adjusting to being as talented as your peers, losing someone and moving on in life
Two Quotes
• It was sort of disappointing watching Tylan Wallace slide to the fourth round – the guy can clearly play – but it sounds like he’s going to a team with big need and he’ll get every chance to play above his fourth-round label.
The Ravens swung and missed during free agency while trying to land a big-time wide receiver, so they turned to the draft to fill one of their most glaring needs. Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta did that and then some, taking both Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman and Oklahoma State’s Tylan Wallace.
[PFF]
• Brandon Evers saw this ESPN piece noting OSU not as one of the top 25 defenses over the next three years… Wasn’t thrilled. List included Cinci, Northwestern, UAB, and App State – but no OSU.
One Question
• Watched Hamilton for the first time last night (late to the party) – if you had to watch a musical about one OSU figure, who would it be?
I think three most popular answers would be Gundy, Mr. Pickens, and Eddie.
