Three Thoughts

Mike Gundy commented an awful lot about Brett Yormark and the Pac-12 this week in his presser – seems like there’s probably some smoke behind that fire

• Mason Rudolph has been playing well, making a case as a trade candidate

• An analytics site did a piece looking at Big Ten expansion candidates – the Pokes aren’t much of a fit academically but when you look at sports… none better than the Fighting Irish.

Still, Notre Dame comes the closest, scoring a 77. Oklahoma State, which has had excellent football results in recent years and has also won lots of championships in sports like wrestling and golf, is next with 65 points, followed by North Carolina (61) and Oregon (60).

Two Quotes

• Cowgirl Soccer coach Colin Carmichael outlines the way all the OSU coaches probably look at continuing Bedlam:

“From our administration, [the future of Bedlam] is gonna be kind of sport-by-sport,” OSU coach Colin Carmichael said this week. “My view always on it is I’ll always do what’s best for our program, whether that affects OU, Texas, A&M, Nebraska left. If we choose to play them, if it’s good for our program, we’ll play them. If not, I won’t lose any sleep over it. From my perspective, it’s about Oklahoma State soccer, and I’m sure from Coach (Mark) Carr’s perspective, he will do what’s right for OU. So, if that means playing each other, great.”

• Big, if true:

One Question

• It’s not hard to find a list with Spencer Sanders as the best quarterback in the Big 12 – is there anybody in the league you’d rather have than No. 3?
