Mike Gundy is excited to have a 4th string. (Tulsa World)
Gundy: “That was a real practice for us. We went outside today. We’ll measure how we did on fluid loss for the players. If I think the heat is too much – if I think it’s not good for us — we’ll go inside for our heavy period tomorrow.” (Tulsa World)
This was intriguing.
Gundy: Will use freshman in return game. Could be Jeff Carr, could be Jalen McCleskey. He said both are mature enough as true freshmen.

Larry Reece on cancer: “It’s funny, because always in the back of my mind I thought, ‘Throat cancer would be the worst thing I could possibly get,’ because I love what I do. I was scared to death.” (NewsOK)

Realignment
I guess I’m not as against the nine-game schedule as some. I think it’s silly that every conference does it differently, but I’ve enjoyed the last few years of Big 12 football. (NewsOK)
Berry Tramel makes the case for bringing BYU and Boise into the Big 12. (NewsOK)
Other sports
Mike Holder on a new baseball stadium: “I think the bottom line is, we don’t have a choice, it’s time to get a new baseball stadium. A facility is a physical manifestation of an institution’s commitment to that particular sport. … Our intent is to build not the biggest, but the best college baseball stadium in America. The price tag on that is probably $40 million.” (NewsOK)
Pokes will play Towson in Game 1 in the Charleston Classic this fall. (ESPN)
OSU and Iowa will wrestle in a football stadium. (PFB)
Republican debate
No worries, I am take-less, but there were two tweets that destroyed me. Here they are.
"My dad was poor!" "My dad was poorer!" "I'm the poorest!"
"I'm rich AF."- Donald Trump
