Men’s Golf: The Pokes are on top of the leaderboard after day one
OSU Bullets
• Intriguing move by the OSU athletic department – now students will surround Gallagher-Iba Arena on three sides
• A Cowboy freshman golfer subbed in, tied for the low round on the day, and helped the Cowboys to the top of the leaderboard in the Stillwater Regional
• Eddie getting into the Hall really puts an exclamation mark on Hank Iba’s legacy.
Iba died in 1993 at age 88. He lived long enough to see Sutton’s return and long enough to see the OSU basketball renaissance begin, with Sutton’s 1991 Big Eight championship and a 1992 rise to No. 2 in the national polls.
And now Iba is joined in the Hall of Fame by his two greatest protégés, Sutton and Don Haskins.
[NewsOK]
• The SEC point guard transfer the Pokes were after landed at Kentucky yesterday, here’s what it means to the Pokes
• Keep riding the Bryce Thompson hype train with Ragusa’s film breakdown of his game
• Berry T. chronicled the Austin Eckroat/Quade Cummins saga masterfully
• Can Mike Boynton land three-five stars in a row? Note: Cade -> Bryce Thompson -> read the article 😉
• Former Cowboy receiver Chris Lacy is getting another shot at the NFL across the division from his former team
• Season tickets for all the winter sports at GIA are open:
Non-OSU Bullets
• When empty nets mean that you’re doing everything right (faith-based)
Thunder Stuff:
• Loved that OKC’s Kenrich Williams made the Luke Walton All Stars
• Two tweets comforting me about OKC’s incredibly stupid win Sunday night – one from KOC and one from Alex
Excellent breakdown of odds for the Thunder getting certain picks (will do a coinflip on 5/25 to see who gets fourth and fifth best odds)
