Uncommon Efficiency
Sitting in BPS on Saturday, James Washington leaving Bears in their tracks only caused mildly appropriate cheers – because it’s become such a regular routine, a joyfully overdone bit.
Remember that thought about conventional wisdom, the idea that the more times one throws deep, the more incompletions he will throw?
Washington’s 34 receptions have come on 46 targets. Rudolph is completing his throws to Washington 73.9 percent of the time.
That shouldn’t happen. [TulsaWorld]
Not only is it such a regularity but it’s so darn efficient.
James Washington went off vs. Baylor – hauling in 6 receptions for 240 yards.

(Late) First Round Rudolph
ESPN’s Todd McShay had some apt thoughts on Mason Rudolph’s draft prospects.
Steady is a fair description. He knows where to go with the ball and is a good decision-maker. The pre-draft process — combine, pro day and Senior Bowl, if he plays — will be important in getting a closer look at him. Right now, he’s my fourth-ranked quarterback, on the fringe of the first round. [ESPN Insider $]
While the 2016 season feels like it reinforces the “steadiness” concept more than 2017, it seems like he may be able to toe the line between taking downfield shots and game manager.

No confirmation on if an extension was reached last night but appears Smart is headed to restricted free agency this summer.
According to a league source, barring a sudden change, Marcus Smart & the Celtics will not agree to an extension prior to tonight's deadline

Boy were they fantastic.
Lost in the chaos of Week 7 were the awesome unis & helmets, including the understated lids from @CowboyFB. https://t.co/p0qwu3nGMX pic.twitter.com/e5lkh27pSZ

It’s hard to juxtapose the two legends – offenses, competition – but it’s still remarkable.
James Washington has 550 fewer yards and 9 fewer tds than Rashaun Woods. On 99 less touches
