SEC ‘Backer Play
The Tulsa World’s Guerin Emig highlighted the massive blow delivered by sophomore sledgehammer Calvin Bundage on Saturday.
Bundage is on the 15 as Sam Ehlinger takes the shotgun snap. It takes him three seconds to shoot from the 15 to the 27, where he meets Texas blocker Chris Warren.
No. Strike that.
Where he destroys Texas blocker Chris Warren.
Bundage, listed by OSU at 205 pounds, knocks Warren, listed by Texas at 250, off his feet and back on the other side of the 30-yard line. It is a play so furious that Ehlinger, who is supposed to follow Warren forward after running wide right, retreats from the 29 to the 31 to avoid the collision. [TulsaWorld]

Pass the Cup
Could the solution to the OSU kicking game be in-house?
I’ve never seen a kicker so dangerous from 35 yards and out who struggles so much from inside 35. It’s an anomaly in the football world. But maybe it’s time for Gundy to give Matt Hockett, the junior walk-on from Norman, a shot at the 30-and-in stuff.
He doesn’t have a huge leg on field goals, but he’s accurate where Ammendola has struggled. Missed short field goals are momentum-killers. Could Hockett be the answer? Maybe, maybe not. [NewsOK]
If memory serves, last year it was Ben Grogan close and Ammendola far… Maybe in hindsight, a full-time promotion was a little much.

I wish I understood why TCU/Texas will be primetime over Bedlam.

Took quite a spill in overtime… also against OU.
Herman said Texas doctors noticed symptoms with Ehlinger in the postgame with Oklahoma State and that continued into Sunday.
