Hit Play: Bedlam Was Full of Binge-Worthy Highlights

Published

on

While we didn’t get the result we all wanted from Saturday evening’s Bedlam game, there were plenty of highlight-worthy plays. Since we’ve had a couple of days for things to settle, let’s take a look at just a few of the many awesome plays from Saturday night. I could have honestly picked eight plays to vote on.

Again, the top play each week — as decided by you — will make it to a pre-bowl playoff where you will then be able to decide the best play of the year.

Tyron’s 5-star route

Crazy part about this play is that Sione would have probably trotted into the end zone had Rudolph had to check down to him. No need. Jordan Thomas could have given Tyron a 20-yard cushion and would have still gotten torched. Perfect throw. Great catch.

Baker’s going to feel that in the morning

The sophomore Star backer is a wild man. He showed that with a couple of neutral zone infractions in the first quarter and showed it even more with four solo tackles and two sacks. The Cowboys sacked Baker Mayfield five times — by far a season high — and four came on four-straight passing plays over two possessions. The good news is that Bundage and his mean streak have two more years in orange. Plenty of hits to come.

Mason-Mossell Corner Connection

This is just a thing of beauty. As much as we are going to miss Rudolph-to-Washington in about a two months, Rudolph-to-Moss-ell has been an underrated pairing. Great throw. Great hands. Great body control.

Justice was swift and without mercy

Last week, J.D. King spelled an injured Justice Hill in Morgantown and truck-sticked his way into OSU folklore. Not to be outdone, Justice rushed for a Bedlam record 228 yards and got 34 for them on this Top 10-worthy play. Sadly, what could have been a go-ahead drive would ended with the Rudolph pick in the end zone.

• Week 1 —Tyron Johnson’s 44-yard welcome parade
• Week 2 —Darrion Daniels’ deflection/Justin Phillips pick-6
• Week 3 — Mason Rudolph’s Heisman moment againt Pitt
• Week 4 — Rudolph-to-Washington for 86 and 6
• Week 5 — Moss-Ell Ateman
• Week 6 — Justice Hill tightropes the sideline
• Week 7 — Ramon’s game-sealing INT
• Week 8 — J.D. King’s truck stick
