The Cowboys are rolling on the recruiting trail.

Three-star jumbo safety Ayden Webb added to the fun on Wednesday when he announced his commitment to Oklahoma State. Out of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Webb is listed at 6-foot-3, 160 pounds and picked the Pokes over offers from Houston, Kansas, TCU, SMU and others.

Webb is a three-star prospect, listed as the No. 1,275 player in the 2025 247Sports Composite rankings. That makes him the No. 190 player from Texas in the class.

He plays both sides of the ball with some recruiting services listing him as a wide receiver, but when Webb announced his OSU offer, he made mention of safeties coach Dan Hammerschmidt.

Lake Highlands went 9-3 in Webb’s junior season, making it to the second round of the Texas 6A-DI state playoffs.

Oklahoma State offered Webb in February before getting him on an official visit on April 5. He also had officials scheduled to Pitt, Houston and Kansas.

With Webb’s commitment, OSU has the No. 25 class in 247Sports’ team rankings. That’s good for third in the Big 12.

He is the 15th player to commit to OSU in the cycle and the sixth to commit this month. The Cowboys’ defense is starting to catch up with the offense, as Webb is the fifth defender to commit to the Pokes in the cycle. Four of those defensive commits have come this month.

Webb is the first defensive back to join the Cowboys’ class, though, as he joins defensive linemen Jordan Covington and Alexander McPherson and linebackers Kyle Keya and Donovan Jones.
