UMass Quarterback Transfer Grant Jordan Commits to Oklahoma State
OSU adds a QB who has played at Yale and UMass.
The Cowboys added some experienced depth to have behind Drew Mestemaker.
UMass transfer Grant Jordan committed to Oklahoma State on Saturday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Listed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Jordan completed 57% of his 110 attempts for the Minutemen this season, throwing for 595 yards and three touchdowns to two picks. He also ran for 43 yards and two more scores.
This should be his final season of eligibility.
The 2025 season was Jordan’s first at UMass, after he spent his previous four at Yale. He took over the reigns as the Bulldogs starter in 2024, a season that saw him throw for 1,938 yards and 22 touchdowns to only three picks. He ran for another 360 yards and five touchdowns that season and was an All-Ivy honorable mention for his efforts.
Jordan is from New Orleans and attended Jesuit High School. He scored 29 touchdowns as a senior — 19 through the air and 10 on the ground — while throwing for 2,330 yards and running for 553. He went to Yale over offers from Nicholls and Southeastern Louisiana.
This marks the second quarterback the Cowboys have added via the portal, joining North Texas starter Drew Mestemaker. The Cowboys’ quarterback room has been entirely reset to start the Eric Morris era, with Hauss Hejny transferring to Colorado State and Zane Flores transferring to Iowa State.
OSU has also signed three high school quarterbacks in Broderick Vehrs, Luke Tepas and Hunter Trusler.
