OSU Bullets

โ€ข For those unfamiliar with the Cowboys’ second opponent coming this weekend – here’s an excellent, short summary to catch you up on what to expect when the Sun Devils come to town:

Herm Edwards brings Arizona State to OSU Saturday night. The Sun Devils are a bit of a mess right now. I donโ€™t think the Cowboys will have too much trouble disposing of them.

โ€ข Spencer Sanders was named the Big 12 offensive player of the week after torching the Central Michigan Chippewas – named the HCS offensive player of the week as well

โ€ข This CFB writer has Spencer Sanders as his Heisman runner-up to this point – Mike Gundy’s comments this summer should have signaled Sanders’ comfort in the offense and a coming consistency:

The first thing (Mike Gundy) said was about four-year starting quarterback Spencer Sanders: โ€œSpencer is good at playing fast. His improvement in that area, with his close-to-perfection in our style of offense and understanding. โ€ฆ He can make really good decisions quickly, which is difficult for a defense to defend.

And then: โ€œHe knows what we do better than the other team knows what they do in stopping us. My point being, heโ€™s so good at our offense he can do it really, really, really fast.โ€

โ€ข Everything Mike Gundy had to say at his weekly presser yesterday

โ€ข Peep the updated depth chart going into the Arizona State game

โ€ข Bit of a head turner yesterday on realignment – Mike Gundy continues to beat the drum that the Big 12 is doing just fine when you compare them to the Pac-12, going so far as to say “the Big 12 is going to grow.”

โ€ข It’s early but I love that Jaylen Warren and Mason Rudolph are sitting at No. 2 at their respective positions on the Steelers’ depth chart:

โ€ข NFL power rankings going into week one – not encouraging as a Dallas Cowboys fan
โ€ข Hoping this take on focusing gets me through my first week back from vacation

Sometimes it benefits us to be passive: to allow life to come to us and unfold without force.

Other times it benefits us to be aggressive: to bend the world to our will and actively shape the life we want.

Are you being too passive or too aggressive right now?
