Hit Play: Justice Looked Like Barry and Trey Carter Is a Bad Man

Written by Kyle Cox

There were several highlight-worthy plays during the Cowboys’ coup in Ames. I did my best to narrow it down to four. You get to decide which was the best.

Again, the top play each week — as decided by you — will make it to a pre-bowl playoff where you will then be able to decide the best play of the year.

Justice Hill goes full-Barry on ISU

I apologize for the hyperbole but in real time this play reminded me so much of a pretty famous run from another Cowboy tailback.

Jump-cuts for days.

Trey Carter introduces Zeb to Div. I football

Zeb Noland had several firsts against Oklahoma State. He threw his first interception. We’ll get to that. He saw his first legitimate reps as a QB, and he felt his first Big 12 sack. Enter 6-foot-3, 295-pound junior Trey Carter — through the B gap and into Zeb’s nightmares.

Who knows if Noland will be taking snaps when Iowa State travels to Stillwater next year in Carter’s senior season. I do know that he’ll remember “99” when he thinks of Oklahoma State.

Moss-ell’s Game Saver

Marcell plays big in Ames plays big, period. With James Washington limited to a decoy role with an ankle injury, his fellow senior wideout stepped up, again. Marcell’s catch radius > 360 degrees.

A.J. Green’s Game-Sealing INT

Let’s dispel the controversy. #AJCaughtIt Green might be the next Justin Gilbert and no one can convince me otherwise — except for A.J. Green.
