The Reload: Mike Gundy Hits Recruiting Trail in Texas
Mike Gundy helicoptered his way around the great state of Oklahoma on Monday to see a number of OSU commits and recruits ranging from 2018 offensive line commits Bryce Bray, Hunter Anthony and Jacob Farrell, to 2019 five-star target Dax Hill of Booker T. Washington.
If there’s such a thing as a helicopter version of jet lag (in the same time zone), Gundy didn’t show any symptoms. On Tuesday, he was down south in Texas checking on two 2018 commits — first with cornerback pledge JayVeon Cardwell of Steele High School. Cardwell is a three-star prospect ranked as the fourth-highest recruit in OSU’s recruiting class, who picked OSU over nearly 20 schools including Ole Miss and Colorado.
As he notes in the tweet below, Cardwell will be among a handful of OSU recruits making official visits to Oklahoma State this weekend.

The second prospect Gundy paid a school visit to was three-star running back commit Jahmyl Jeter of William J. Brennan High School in San Antonio.
Jeter was among the group of 10 who visited Oklahoma State this past weekend, and is — for now — the lone RB pledge in the Class of 2018.
Thanks @CoachGundy for stopping by to talk @BFNDFball as well as the Pokes plans for @Teamjeter28 next year!! #oklahomastate #pokes #BFND pic.twitter.com/g2W3GuvUvM

Oklahoma State will play host this weekend to four-star all-purpose running back Lyn-J Dixon for an official visit as he makes the trip all the way from Butler, Georgia.
Dixon, a former Tennessee commit, is trending towards Clemson and has made officials to see the Tigers, as well as to Louisville this past weekend. He has two remaining officials yet to be used, but for now, OSU is last on his list, although he intends to sign in February instead of the Dec. 20 early period.
