The Cowboys’ white-hot stretch on the recruiting trail continued Sunday when they flipped a defensive back from a conference foe.

Brandon Ford, a corner previously committed to Kansas State, took to X to announce that he is now committed to Oklahoma State. Ford is the No. 922 player in the 2026 class, according to On3’s Industry Ranking, which makes him the No. 84 player in the class and the No. 137 player from Texas.

Listed from 5-foot-11, 165 pounds to 6-feet, 180 pounds, Ford is from Crowley High School, which is south of Fort Worth. Ford had 35 tackles, a tackle for loss, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups as a junior for the Eagles this past season. In his freshman and sophomore seasons, Ford combined to make 33 tackles, two tackles for loss and four interceptions.

That play had OSU, K-State, Arizona, Arizona State, Houston, Texas Tech, Nebraska, SMU and others after his services.

Ford also competes on the Crowley track team. He has a personal best long jump of 22 feet, 8.5 inches, according to Athletic.net.

Ford is commitment No. 14 in OSU’s 2026 class. He’s the fourth defensive back to join the fold, along with Braeden Presley (Bixby), Josiah Vilmael (Richmond, Texas) and Carter Langenderfer (Owasso).

OSU’s defensive staff has been on a tear of late. Ford joins Presley and four-star defensive linemen Danny Beale and Tajh Overton as commits within the past two weeks.
