Edge Rusher Alexander McPherson Decommits from Oklahoma State

The Cowboys added a defensive line prospect on Tuesday, but they also lost one.

Alexander McPherson, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound D-lineman from IMG Academy, rescinded his commitment to Oklahoma State, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. The writing was on the wall here for a little bit, as McPherson recently announced offers and took visits to Colorado and NC State. OSU did, though, earlier on Tuesday add a junior college edge rusher to its class in Rashod Bradley.

McPherson committed to OSU on June 11. He’s the No. 1,024 player in 247Sports’ 2025 Composite rankings, making him the No. 113 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 132 player from Florida. As a senior at IMG, McPherson has made 52 tackles this year, including 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks.

His decommitment means the Cowboys are back down to 15 pledges in the 2025 cycle — a number that could see some more movement before the early signing period opens next Wednesday. OSU recently appeared in the top pair of schools for junior college linebacker Chandavian Bradley. The Cowboys also offered former Tulsa cornerback commit Draden Fullbright and hosted some visits this past weekend, including Utah offensive line prospect Simona Fuailetolo. Fuailetolo is a three-star prospect who has reported offers to Florida, Kansas State, Cal and others.

OSU’s class ranks 59th nationally, according to 247Sports, good for 13th in the Big 12. Landing all three of Chandavian Bradley, Fullbright and Fuailetolo would move OSU into the top 10 in the league. It’s also expected to be a busy transfer portal window for the Cowboys and a lot of teams around the country.
