Northwest Missouri State Transfer Defensive Lineman Langden Kitchen Announces OSU Offer

The early goings of transfer portal shopping have started for the Cowboys.

Northwest Missouri State (D-II) defensive lineman Langden Kitchen on Monday announced that he received an Oklahoma State offer. The Cowboys join Iowa State, Kansas, Cal and others that have offered Kitchen.

Hailing from Huntsville, Missouri, Kitchen was listed as a 6-foot-7, 270-pound sophomore for the Bearcats this past season. Northwest Missouri State went 6-5 on the year. Kitchen recorded 21 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He also blocked a pair of kicks. Kitchen played as a defensive end for the Bearcats, but that type of size should make him rather versatile on a defensive front.

The Cowboys have some rebuilding to do along the defensive line. Kitchen has similar measurables to Kody Walterscheid (6-7, 275), who exhausted his eligibility at the end of this season. OSU will also lose Obi Ezeigbo, Xavier Ross and Collin Clay to exhausted eligibility this offseason.

The Division-I transfer portal opens on Dec. 9, where a lot of movement is expected in Stillwater and nationally. The Cowboys have already added some college experience to its defensive ranks in junior college edge rushers Rashod Bradley and Chandavian Bradley. The Cowboys also have 14 high school players committed ahead of signing day on Wednesday. That number has moved around a bit over the past few weeks, doing so as recently as Monday when a report came out that Wichita edge rusher Kyle Keya was no longer a part of OSU’s class.
