In-State Offensive Lineman Miguel Chavez Commits to Oklahoma State
OSU flips an in-state offensive lineman on Signing Day eve.
‘Twas the night before Signing Day, and Oklahoma State flipped an in-state product.
Miguel Chavez, a three-star offensive lineman from Muskogee, announced Tuesday night that he is now committed to Oklahoma State. Chavez had been committed to UNLV since July but picked up offers from Oklahoma State and Baylor in the month of November. The early signing period opens Wednesday.

Chavez is a three-star prospect and ranks 1,913 nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings. Before he committed to UNLV, Chavez has also announced offers to Utah State, UTEP, Eastern Michigan, Army, Navy, Air Force and others.
He plays on a Muskogee High School team that is 12-0 this season and plays Choctaw in the 6A-II state championship game on Saturday. The Roughers’ offense averages 45.7 points a game. Former OSU All-American Levy Adcock is Chavez’s offensive line coach.
He’s the fourth class of 2025 offensive lineman committed to OSU, joining Jaylan Beckley, Simona Fuailetolo and Ryker Haff. OSU also picked up a commitment from Tulsa center transfer Kasen Carpenter on Monday.
With everyone anticipating a busy transfer portal window and the looming settlement that would cut rosters down to 105 players, it’s made for a chaotic push to Signing Day. There’s been a lot of movement nationwide over the past few days.
Some of that chaos has a Bedlam flavor to it, as OU and new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle offered OSU quarterback commit Jett Niu on Tuesday night. Niu has been committed to the Cowboys since September. He also had an offer to Washington State, where the Sooners pulled Arbuckle from.
That adds to the past seven days that have seen OSU lose an edge rusher commit, gain two junior college edge rushers, add Carpenter via the transfer portal, add a three-star corner commit and now two high school O-line commits in Chavez and Fuailetolo. We’ll see if this is the end of all the surprises or if Wednesday will have something of its own in store.
