Stillwater Linebacker Bryson Brown Flips from Baylor to Oklahoma State

STILLWATER — On Wednesday, Oklahoma State picked up a commitment from Bryson Brown. If that sounds confusing —well, it kind of is.

Bryson Brown is a three-star linebacker at Stillwater High, ranked 117th at the position and 22nd in the state, according to the 247Sports composite.

Bryson Brown also happens to be a three-star defensive back at Broken Arrow, ranked 120th at the position and 19th in the state, according to the 247Sports composite, but the DB committed to the Cowboys back in May.​

The new Bryson Brown, the linebacker, flipped his commitment from Baylor on Wednesday after previously picking the Bears on Jan. 31st. He also holds a reported offer from Purdue.

He has recorded 58 total tackles for Stillwater, including 13 for loss and two sacks, in seven games, according to MaxPreps. He finished his junior season with 86 total tackles, including 20 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Brown is the 14th commitment for Pokes’ 2027 class. The class ranks 13th in the Big 12, but all of those have more commits. And half of the teams ahead have at least five additional pledges.

Brown is the sixth defensive commitment this cycle and the second linebacker, joining Choctaw’s Israel Hammons.
